Three-year-old Ayaansh is fighting a painful battle against eye cancer at All India Institute of Medical Sciences. At such a tender age, he has already undergone multiple chemotherapy sessions, regular scans, and difficult hospital procedures. Despite continuous treatment, doctors have now advised urgent surgery to remove his affected eye because of the aggressive nature of the cancer. The surgery is planned for next month in June and is necessary to save his life.

Ayaansh’s father works as a daily wage labourer and earns very little to support the family. To continue the child’s treatment, the family has been living in a rented room in Delhi, struggling every day to manage rent, food, medicines, and travel expenses. With rising inflation and irregular income, surviving in the city has become extremely difficult for them. Most days, the parents are forced to choose between basic needs and medical expenses for their child.

The cancer and chemotherapy have also made Ayaansh very weak and vulnerable. He suffers from pain, weakness, loss of appetite, and discomfort after every treatment session. Watching their little son suffer every day has emotionally and financially shattered the family.

For the past several months, Dil Se Mehek Foundation has been continuously supporting Ayaansh by helping arrange his medicines, MRI scans, food, and other urgent treatment needs on time. However, now the child urgently needs surgery due to the aggressive spread of cancer in his eye.

The family now requires ₹40,000 for the surgery and related medical expenses. For a poor labourer’s family, arranging this amount alone is nearly impossible.
