About This Cause

Suraj is a bright young boy from Assam whose life took an unexpected turn after he developed a persistent fever. What his parents thought was a common illness soon became a life-changing diagnosis. After several medical tests, doctors discovered that Suraj was suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious congenital heart condition.

Since the beginning of 2026, Suraj has been receiving treatment at AIIMS, Delhi. His father, Mahavir Tamang, a driver from Assam, left behind his work and income to stay by his son's side. Today, the family is living in a small dharamshala in Yusuf Sarai so that Suraj can attend his regular hospital appointments.

Suraj is the only child of his parents. Every day, his father watches him struggle while hoping for the moment he can see his son smile without pain. The family's savings have already been exhausted on travel, medicines, food, and living expenses in Delhi.

Doctors at AIIMS have scheduled Suraj's APC coiling procedure on 3 August 2026 as part of the treatment for his heart condition. To undergo the surgery and manage the related medical expenses, the family urgently needs ₹60,000. For a family that depends on a driver's income, arranging this amount is almost impossible.

Suraj dreams of returning to school, playing with his friends, and living the carefree childhood every child deserves. But before those dreams can come true, he needs this life-saving procedure.
