Aayaansh’s Story: A Childhood Spent Fighting Cancer on the Streets of Delhi

Aayaansh is only 2.5 years old, an age when a child should be learning to run, laugh freely, and discover the world around him. Instead, Aayaansh is fighting retinoblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of eye cancer, with strength far beyond his tender years.

Aayaansh was born in Madhya Pradesh into a family of daily wage labourers. His father, Ajay, works tirelessly as a labourer, earning just enough to provide one meal at a time. The family had no savings, no security, and no preparation for the tragedy that was to come.

When Aayaansh was just six months old, his parents noticed something unusual in his eye. What they thought might be a minor problem soon turned into a devastating diagnosis—eye cancer. The news shattered the family. With limited medical facilities near their village and no financial means, they struggled to understand how they would save their child’s life.

After multiple consultations and referrals, the family was advised to seek treatment at AIIMS, Delhi, where specialized cancer care was available. Leaving behind their home, work, and all familiarity, Ajay brought his infant son to Delhi with nothing but hope.

At AIIMS, doctors confirmed the diagnosis and immediately began chemotherapy to stop the cancer from spreading and to save Aayaansh’s life. The hospital has supported the family immensely—bed charges, consultations, and hospital stay are free of cost. However, many essential expenses still remain.

The family must arrange money for:

  • Costly chemotherapy medicines
  • Regular nutritious food required during treatment
  • Travel and daily survival expenses in Delhi
  • Basic shelter, as they have nowhere to stay

Today, Aayaansh and his parents are living on the roadside outside AIIMS, sleeping on pavements under open skies. In extreme weather conditions—heat, cold, and rain—they struggle to protect a child whose immunity is already weakened by chemotherapy. Each day, they wake up on the streets and walk into the hospital, praying that their child survives another round of treatment.

The total amount urgently required to continue Aayaansh’s treatment and ensure basic dignity is ₹70,000. For Ajay, a daily wage labourer with no steady income in Delhi, this amount is impossible to arrange alone.

Despite the pain, hospital visits, and sleepless nights on the roadside, Aayaansh continues to smile innocently. He clutches his mother’s finger during chemotherapy, unaware of the battle he is fighting. Ajay watches his son endure unbearable suffering, carrying a silent fear—will he be able to save his child?

Your support can change Aayaansh’s story.

Your contribution can help him complete chemotherapy, receive proper nutrition, and sleep safely under a roof while he fights cancer.

Aayaansh deserves more than a life on the streets. He deserves a future—one filled with health, laughter, and hope.

Please come forward and help Aayaansh fight cancer. His life depends on it.
