This summer, while many children will spend their holidays laughing, travelling, and making happy memories, there are children in the slums of Delhi who may spend the entire season under the scorching heat, watching life pass by from narrow lanes and crowded shelters. For them, childhood is often filled with struggles far beyond their age — lack of proper food, poor living conditions, and very few moments of joy.

A simple outing to a water park may sound ordinary to many of us, but for these 20 children, it would feel like stepping into a completely different world — a world filled with laughter, colourful slides, clean water, games, excitement, and the freedom to simply be children for a day. Dil Se Mehek Foundation is planning to take 20 slum children for a special summer outing to a water park before December. Most of these children have never visited any amusement park or gone on a family trip. Some of them have spent their childhood watching other children enjoy things they could never ask for. Many come from families where parents struggle every day just to arrange one proper meal.

For these little ones, happiness often comes in very small moments — sharing a cold drink, wearing new slippers, or eating a full meal without worrying about tomorrow. Imagine the joy in their eyes when they enter a place filled with water rides, music, food, and endless laughter. Imagine a child who has only seen water leaking through tin roofs finally getting a chance to play fearlessly in a pool with friends.This campaign is not just about a picnic. It is about giving these children a memory they will carry in their hearts for years. It is about reminding them that they too deserve happiness, care, and beautiful moments in life.

The campaign will help cover transportation, entry tickets, meals, drinking water, safety arrangements, and basic essentials for all 20 children. Our volunteers will stay with them throughout the day to make sure they feel safe, loved, and included.Sometimes, changing a child’s day can also change the way they look at the world.
